World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Challenge

The World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Challenge returns to Green Bay in August 2023. Team USA will face-off against competitors from around the world to defend their 2022 Gold Medal win. Held at the Cornerstone Community Center, the 2022 games marked the first-ever women’s international para ice hockey competition and welcomed teams and spectators from the US, Canada, Great Britain, and Team World. The 2023 tournament will continue to expand the sport and recognize women who inspire and emulate Paralympic ideals and serve as positive role models.

American Cornhole Organization: Season 18 Beloit Major

Beloit is slated to host to the American Cornhole Organization Tournament through 2026. The annual event brought 135 players from 12 states to the Eclipse Center in 2023 and continues to grow. Top Cornhole players competed for more than $5,000 in prize pool money in categories including singles, doubles, quads, seniors, juniors, and women. Cornhole tournaments bring the favorite bean bag toss pastime to a whole new level.

SAFECON

SAFECON, the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s annual flight competition, recently brought 500 of the nation’s top collegiate pilots to Janesville. Held at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, the event showcased the expertise of 26 teams in 12 different skill sets. Airborne exhibitions including navigation, precision landing and message drop attracted flight enthusiasts and spectators from across the country.

U.S. Senior Open Championship

The best male golfers age 50 and up will tee-off at SentryWorld in picturesque Stevens Point at the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship June 27-July 2, 2023. This is the first Senior Open and third USGA championship to be played on the 200-acre parkland course. SentryWorld, Wisconsin’s first destination golf course, was developed in 1982. It offers both golfers and spectators plenty of diversions between rounds with indoor tennis, restaurants, a boutique hotel, and banquet space.
